My sweet Lola. ❤️ Maybe better known as Lola Bridget, Lola B, Lola Bajola, Lola girl.
I don’t know how to put 15 years of love into words, because Lola was never just a dog. She was family. Before Noah was even born, she had already claimed him. She spent my pregnancy resting against my belly, and from the day he came home, she never left his side. For all 13 years of his life, she was his constant companion. He never knew a world without her, and she loved him completely.
But Lola had enough love to go around. On nights we were away, she became my mom’s fierce protector. My mom was never a “pet person,” but Lola had a way of quietly finding her place in people’s hearts without asking permission.
She was stubborn, funny, fiercely loyal, and so full of personality. She loved car rides (preferably short ones with a hamburger at the end) and was absolutely terrified of cats—yet happily chased their laser pointers around the house.
She gave us 15 years, and it still doesn't feel like enough. Coming home to the silence without her is heartbreaking. My heart hurts so deeply for Noah, but what a gift it was that he grew up enveloped in her unconditional love.
Thank you for 15 years, sweet girl. Thank you for every hamburger, every car ride, and every single moment by our side. Go find a burger, chase those lasers, and don’t worry about the cats anymore.
We love you, Lola. Forever our girl. 🕊️✨
