Private Pet Cremation vs. Communal Cremation

What Happens During Pet Cremation?

Losing a beloved pet is never easy. At Mercadante Pet Cremation Care, we understand how important it is to know your companion is treated with dignity and respect throughout the entire process.

When your pet is entrusted to our care, they remain in our custody every step of the way. We provide private cremation services, meaning your pet is cremated individually and their ashes are returned only to your family.

After the cremation is complete, the ashes are carefully processed and placed in the urn or container you have selected. Many families also choose to add a paw print, keepsake jewelry, or another memorial item to honor their pet’s life.In many cases, we are able to return your pet’s ashes within 72 hours.

Our goal is to provide compassionate, respectful care and give families peace of mind during a difficult time. If you have questions at any point, we are always here to help.

Private Pet Cremation vs. Communal Cremation

When choosing pet cremation, it’s important to understand the difference between private and communal cremation

Private Pet Cremation

With private cremation, your pet is cremated individually. Their ashes are carefully collected and returned only to your family. This option allows you to keep your pet’s ashes in an urn, scatter them in a meaningful place, or create a lasting memorial.

At Mercadante Pet Cremation Care, every pet is cremated privately. We do not offer communal cremation because we believe every family deserves the peace of mind that comes from knowing their beloved companion is cared for individually.

Communal Cremation

With communal cremation, multiple pets are cremated together, and the ashes are not returned to individual families. This option is commonly offered through some veterinary practices and pet cremation providers.

Which Option Is Right for Me?

Choosing a cremation option is a personal decision. Many families find comfort in having their pet’s ashes returned so they can create a lasting tribute or keep their companion close.

If you have questions about the cremation process or would like to learn more about our services, we’re here to guide you with compassion and respect every step of the way.
